Jake and the Never Land Pirates

JAKE AND THE NEVERLAND PIRATES

Disney Junior's first new animated series, "Jake and the Never Land Pirates," is a music-filled interactive treasure hunt that introduces a crew of kid pirates — leader Jake and pals Izzy and Cubby — and follows their Never Land adventures as they work to outwit two infamous characters, the one and only Captain Hook and Smee, from Disney's classic "Peter Pan." Each episode features two adventures as Jake and team and their lookout parrot, Skully, sail on the good ship Bucky, miles from their Pirate Island hideout on a lost treasure hunt. Along the way, they model teamwork, problem-solving and physical activity as they learn to maneuver around Hook and Smee, earning gold doubloons as they conquer tasks including crossing a muddy swamp, swinging on vines and sliding down waterfalls. The series features original "pirate rock" music performed by The Never Land Pirate Band — comprised of Loren Hoskins and Kevin Hendrickson, whose animated alter egos, Sharky and Bones, pop up to sing pirate ditties throughout every episode. The pirate rockers also provide the title track, "Jake and the Never Land Pirates," and the musical score. Each episode concludes with a live action music video featuring The Never Land Pirate Band performing a song including "Talk Like a Pirate," "Hot Lava" and "Ah, Coconuts!"

By following the instructions given by Oso's helpful sidekick Paw Pilot, viewers learn how to organize and break down everyday tasks by using three simple steps just as Oso does.
